1. Time to dust of the "All encompassing New York response to anything"
(sounds of papers shuffling.....sound of someone blowing dust off paperwork....sound of clearing of throat)

STUFF LIKE THAT HAPPENS IN MY NEIGHBORHOOD EVERY WEEK

(exits stage left)

This was a much better Letterman performance, however.

5. I hate to take this thread off topic but...
comparing Drew Barrymore to Christina Applegate is like comparing a $5 gutter slut to Christina Applegate.

9. Oh see now I have to think about her dancing on a table
that's not going to help anything.

BTW- I told matcom about "The Last True Story I will ever tell" by John Crawford. I am 70 pages in (very quick read) and it is like being back in the Army. Nothing has changed (except the setting). I completely get his sense of humor and I can identify with the whole Catch22 element (again, much different setting) he was stuck in.

A GREAT read.

22. She must have the most amazing agent and manager.
I mean, she's completely talentless, and isn't even that good-looking, by Hollywood standards, and yet she's still a household name (without killing anyone).

Amazing

13. that's what they teach us in NJ public schools.
the state of ny: brooklyn, queens, manhattan, bronx, staten island.

there are a few smaller districts, Holland, Lincoln, GWB, but they are mostly populated by ex-pat NJ'ers.

maybe those places used to exist. sounds like "junk geography" to me.

probably learned about "evolution" in your fancy schools, as well.

heheh.

i heard that nyc text books show nj as newark airport and the turnpike, and the rest is empty and labeled "here be dragons".

Edited on Tue Oct-11-05 07:20 PM by HEyHEY
A drug and disease infested area of Vancouver, largest open drug market in North America, and the stomping grounds of Serial killer, pardon me - accused serieal killer, Robert Pickton.
It's not a nice place.

So I purposely turned up the heat for fun. ;-) Can't say I am disappointed.

Adore away. Doesn't change my opinion of Hondas or their aggressive drivers one iota. I encounter them daily.

And yes, I am judgmental. Proof I have a brain and think for myself.

29. Yes but, a Nissan driver has just attacked the civic drivers
that were minding their own business. I suspect Nissan drivers are the truly aggressive ones, waiting for their moment to strike.

Even Ford owners can see that...

30. The Honda drivers I know...
are pretty mellow.

Down here, it's the Mustangs, Lexi, and big trucks who drive aggressively.

Being judgmental doesn't indicate the size of your brain. Only the size of your ego.

21. As a former New Yorker, I know what happened there
Arrogant pricks zoom up in the exact change lane, passing dozens of cars waiting to pay, then force their way in to the front of the line. Sometimes the guy they're cutting off doesn't go for it. This happens.
