We are having a 30 person extravaganza in the city that has recently caught some flak here on DU. I personally enjoy people watching there, and since I am not a gambler, it has no ill effect on me.

On edit: spelling.

5. Congrats!
Have a great time and let yourself have the wedding that YOU want-not what someone else wants. It's a day that means more to you and your SO than to anyone else. Don't let them try to dictate what will happen (sorry, been hearing alot of that in RL lately).

6. Thanks for the advice
Since we made it a family only affair, and are paying for it ourselves, no one can dictate.

10. Make sure you have an Elvis impersonator do the ceremony.
That's what I'd want anyway. :)

12. That would be cool to see.
Him crashing the party, not scaring your little girl. :)

Congrats and good luck in your soon to be newly wedded bliss

13. Thanks for the good wishes
A friend of mine got hitched out there last year, and had the impersonator crash the reception. You should have seen all the great-aunts and grandmas go nuts. That was the inspiration for the party crashing Elvis...
