4. Always the FOURTH Thursday.
Which is usually, but not "always," the last Thursday in November.

Does that help?

6. Get the calendar!! You need one to........
Schedule your activities to help change the direction this country is heading in!!

I have to have a calendar on my wall, since I work shiftwork, am involved in many events pertinent to Howard Dean's campaign, activism events, and taking night classes...etc. You are obviously a concerned and aware person if you are posting on this site! So you need a calendar, hunny!!!

Personally, the main reason why I would want to know when Thanksgiving is, is so that I can either volunteer to work for someone who has family events they want to attend...since I totally dislike food oriented events (turkey...yuck!!)...

It's the 27th this year, I think!!

7. Thanks all...........
Yes! I can always remember for my whole life that it is the 4th thurs of November! Now I understand how it works! If the first day of november is a FRIDAY, for example.....T-day will be pretty late. But if Nov. 1 is a Thurs.....then it will probably not be the last week of nov. YAY. Geeze, the things my parents forgot to tell me!

I need a calendar? I don't think so........I keep my calendar in my head. And I keep time in my head. When I get a watch or look at a calendar everyday, my head gets lazy.....and I become dependent on them.

A wise man told me when I got out of college .....when I was looking for the PERFECT franklin planner....."DON'T! You will never be able to function without that external brain center!!" He was right.....

But hey.....I can buy a cute puppy calendar to support the human society or something.

It's the roaming event dates that throw me......
