I nearly stabbed a waitress at Denny's tonight
It was an accident.

Three of my friends & I decided to live it up and have dinner at the local Denny's tonight. I was telling them about Normie Coleman's performance during the talkathon - working myself into a real rant waving my hand (with the fork in it) around when the poor waitress showed up with coffee and the tines of my meadering fork hit her hand.
I apologized profusely and she said, "That's okay, I heard what you were saying and I can work myself into lather when I think of Coleman...I hate the weasel." - She really called him a weasel!

We left a very good tip.

6. Gee, where do I begin
Just a few reasons:

On several occasions he has said he has said it must have been God or Providence that put him in the Senate.

He said he is a 99% improvement over Wellstone.

He made an incredibly insensitive comment about the casualties in Iraq that I cannot remember exactly, but I think it was that they aren't any big deal compared to Vietnam (Normie is not a vet)

During his presentation the other night he made statements that make it clear he is laboring under the delusion that the majority of votes voted for Bush (or maybe he is trying to rewrite history)

He can't cast a vote without making sure it's what Bush wants him to do. It's amazing he can detach his lips from Bush's butt long to enough to make one of his inane statements.

7. ugh...
I hate Norm Coleman too. Most people here in MN hate him...yet he won the senate. The man crawls under my skin as much as Dubya. I also hate the fact that he said he was a 99% improvement over Wellstone. Gimme a break, horse face. Wellstone was one of the best senators in this country. Norm is also one of those religious nuts who thinks God talks to him. As for that waitress, glad you gave her a good tip. lol

13. Except, of course, the "whites only" ones...
A number of years ago, Denny's got burned on a class-action suit when it turned out that some of its branches were refusing to serve African-American customers. (Surprisingly, one of them was the branch I went to a couple of times during college in Annapolis.) Not too cool a place for doing that, AFAIAC.

I could have sworn someone mentioned gettting accidentally stabbed at a Denny's while talking about Wellstone and Coleman and then posted it here on DU.

Whoah.

On edit: I was right. (This means I'm not crazy! Yay!)
