1. They sell good Veggie Burgers at Trader Joe's
I can't think of the brand name but I have tried so many different kinds and they are the best.

They are kind of spicy but they are so good.

That reminds me I have to pick some up at Trader Joe's tomorrow because I now have a mad craving for them.

15. Good veggie burger
is an oxymoron.

As an aside, I think it's the name scam. If it's a veggie, call it a veggie. When I hear burger, my nouth expects MEAT.

4. off brand hotdogs?
Taste wretched like most fake meat, and probably has no real meat in them.

6. Silly wabbit! Non-meat meat isn't "fake meat."
It's a type of food. Tastes great if that's what you are expecting. Probably tastes wretched if you are really craving meat, instead.

As for off-brand hot dogs-- Ech! You have courage. You should be in one of those beer commercial tributes to modern heroes if you can eat those. When I ate meat, the only thing worse than thinking about where the meat came from was realizing you had no idea where the meat came from.

8. OH! "Smart Bacon"
Put out by "LightLife" I can only find this at WalMart (belive it or not). This stuff, if you cook it right, is really good. Use it in a blt (I hate tomatoes personally, so my fave sandwich with this stuff is a bt, I guess) and its really good.

Its meat-free, nitrite-free, msg-free, and its gooood. Soy, of course.

Btw, certain Boca Burgers are really good too, imho. The "All American" and the "cheeseburger" varieties - pretty good.

9. Morningstar Farms Chik Patties...
although I do not eat them ever since I found out that Kellogg owned MF thus GMO's in the product. My local Wegmanns keeps Morningstar Farms products completely seperate from the health food/vegetarian area for this reason.

10. Hmm. The Randalls near my house does that, too. Wonder if that's why
They keep Morningstar seperate from the other vegetarian stuff. I wonder if that's why, or if it's just a vendor/merchandising thing.

21. Eringi Mushroom and the 'Beefstake' mushroom...
Both taste VERY much like meat....the beefstake mushroom is even reddish inside and oozes a reddish fluid (like raw meat) until cooked.

Unfortualtely, both are hard to comeby in the US. Try asian markets if you want some.

24. Ain't no such thing as 'non-meat' meat.
Its either meat or it isn't.

Non meat 'meat' tastes like non-shit shit.

It is a sin.

26. Gardenburgers, and they are a darn quick meal
If I don't have anything else ready to go, a Gardenburger is my choice. I find them rather indulgent. I think the pizza one is the best.
