Who is a musician here, and what do you play
I am mainly a bass player, and I like playing blues, soul and R and B (old style, not the modern stuff) as well as some good ol' fashioned hard rock.
I used to have a great blues band. not anymore :(
I play a Fender P-Bass.
I like to play guitar too. I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard a good guitar) it is black with Ivory colored furniture. I used to have a Tele, but i had to sell it, along with my Fender amp. I now only have a bass amp and an old fender solid state amp. my old amp was a tube that sounded great.

3. Drums
I've got a nice set, but I've been slacking off for a few years. Thinking of starting to play again - hope the neighbors don't complain.

8. Alto and Tenor Sax and Piano.....
...actually I "Play" Saxophone and "Play at" Piano (Chords and simple vamps)

Zuni...why did your band break up? I ask this because several bands I've
known that were great have been a victim of the "Madonna syndrome".,....
..ie: Lousy modern music.

9. Infighting
It was a gradual process because of infighting. I am a lot to blame for it, because I was insistent on my line for the band's musical direction. I wanted to play more pure blues/soul while the others wanted to try more funk/reggae stuff that I didn't want to play. We also were having problems with drinking and stuff.
We are all still friends, but at the time with all the substance abuse and arguing the band got to be a chore rather than fun.

12. Woodwinds...
I started out as a clarinet player, and that is still my main instrument (have two performance degrees). I started playing in pit orchestras for musical theater shows while I was in college, and to do that you have to be able to switch between all the woodwinds. So, I am also a pretty decent sax, flute, and oboe player. I am also a music teacher, and to get my degree and certification I had to be proficient in, well, everything.

15. Piano, organ, synth, rhythm guitar, percussion; any kind of music
The last two are only for my own entertainment and for use at work. I actually started out on organ (just played today, actually).

I pretty much play any kind of music, but the band I play with is heavily into funk, blues and reggae.

16. Bassplayer too...
Hello from Germany,
no Blues, no hard rock, lot's of old style R&B (I studied Jamerson for years). Love Reggae and Dub and was mostly influenced by post-punk music a la Gang of Four, Joy Division. Many Fender Basses, but all of them are japanenese :wtf:, and one USA G&L. Never was a good guitar player, but have to sometimes, 'cause I like to sing. I love analogue bass-synthesizers, too.

18. Guitar,harmonica,bass and some keys.......

I have played professionally and semi-pro for about 24 years. I was on the road with different bands, mostly playing lead guitar.

After I got married,I quit the road and started doing a day job and playing local, mostly weekends. I built a studio in part of the house and started doing studio work for local artists and songwriters. I was doing pretty well for awhile and managed to quit the day job until the $hrub economy took its toll.

Now it is down to a hobby status. The day gig demands a lot of time,so I am taking a break for a while and just working on some songwriting.

23. Been away from it for a while

but, technically:

vocals (tenor)
piano
guitar (rhythm, some lead)
bass guitar
drums (sort-of, kind-of, marginally ...)

I've also done songwriting and lyric-writing off-and-on for at least 18 years, and I'm actually pretty proud of some of the lyric sets I've produced during that time :)
