An L.F. rundown on real vampire. |
|
sanguine/sanguinary (sang) - drinks blood
psychic/psionic (psi) - feeds off energy, a.k.a aura or live force
This poeple are just like you and me. Some dress in goth, some don't. Some are gay, some are strait, some are bi. They eat garlic, get suntans ( some are known beachbunnys) and can die like you and me. They do not believe they are immortal.
As for their feeding, it is done by donners. In the case of blood, one that has been tested. Same goes for the sang about testing. Psi's do not need to worry about that unless they (donner and psi) are romanticly envolved. Feeding can be sexual or not.
THe only "victims" are those that get feed off of by young psi's that have either do not know what they are or have yet to master control. And the energy taken is so small most never even notice and can be made up for with a 15 minute nap.
I am now open for question...

2. do you mean being a donner? |

Many donners say that it is because of the feelings that it causes.

12. Um...do you mean "donor"? |
|
As in "one who donates (gives)"?
Donner for some reason reminds me of the Donner Party, and while some sort of cannibalism reference makes a little sense, the other makes more...

They do it through there aura. Through aura photography you can see that a psi has runners coming off there aura that can attach to other auras. They need no contact to feed. However, donners like contact so they can feel the transfer of power. Psi's can give energy as well.

If you are drinking human blood, then you are a cannibal. However, it's more romantic to say "vampire."

In fact if they don't have it they end up very ill. They manly manly take about 2 table spoons a day. There are those times however that they do take a cup worth.

That cute little teller could very well be one. There are members of the medical profession that are closeted vampires. The clerk at the cash register, the guy that cooks your hamburger at the fastfood place ypu like so well, ect. Fact is that you never know who it is. Same with donors. Only if they also live the lifestyle do you have a clue!

Its another member of the "Great SW Missouri Vampire Cult". Give it up LF, the schtick was in and cool twenty years ago down there, now its just boring and trite.
I guess there is still nothing better to do down there than Goth up and play Vampire. Tell you what, head up north to St. Louis or Columbia, there are plenty of people to show you a much better/edgier time than Gothic play acting.
Seriously, get out of SW Missouri, it warps your head hard, I know, I've been through it.

24. I've spoken with people who think of themselves as vampires, |
|
and, based ONLY on what I've seen, I get the impression that they're just acting out for attention. They don't really drink blood, they don't try to sap "energy" from people (and it's beyond my understanding how one can even DO such a thing - does it tickle? :P).
I read a couple of your threads on this topic, and you've said that vampires are completely normal people who drink blood. Well, I don't doubt that they're, for the most part, normal. But the way I see it, there has to be SOMETHING that drives them to want to drink blood. I don't understand what it is - certainly they aren't born that way, it isn't genetic. I'd like to know what drives people to get into this stuff.

26. Boredom, sheer boredom and the need to rebel |
|
I lived down in SW Missouri for six years and ran into these "vampires" now and again. After getting to know these people, I found that they were wanting to rebel and shock all of RW fundies down there, and boredom abounds, there is very little to do down there. So combine lots of free time, boredom, and a need to rebel, voila, you get "vampires". You also get your fair number of "Satanists" also, and some other interesting mutants.
Then they come up here to Columbia for college, find out how out of the loop they are, find lots more fun/edgier things to do, and whoops! no longer a vampire. It is a miracle I've seen repeated over and over.

Vampires are what they are, people that drink blood or feed off energy. Gamers are a group of there own! Gamers tell you that they have lived for 100+ years and do this and that, but never do anything.

29. I'm not talking about gamers, they at least know where reality ends. . . |
|
And fantasy begins. No, the vampires I've known down there just kind of drop off the edge of reality and don't know the difference. A fascinating, interesting study in behavioral sinks SW Mo is, and "vampires" are just one of the manifestations. Tell me, do they still have the "Satanists" who have never heard of Crowley?
Honestly, this all due to too much repression, too much time, and not a damn thing to do, even in the big burg of Springfield. For your own sanity you should get out of there.

30. Okay, there's a difference between the two... |
|
but in both cases, there's something driving them to take on that sort of lifestyle. Some people want to act like vampires but not drink blood, and some drink blood but go about living normal lives. It sounds like they're acting out the same role, but go about doing it in different ways. I don't mean to jump to conclusions, that's just what it looks like to me.
You seem to know a fair bit about them, LF. Do you know any personally? If so, when did they start drinking blood? Why?
If you can round a few of them up, maybe we'll do a study.
"Tell me about your childhood." "HISS!" *chomp* "Mmm. Salty."

There are games based on books that people will dress and go into charcter and meet to play vampire. Each group is called a clan. There are many clans in the US playing. It is from one of this games that the 13 laws come from. They are the rules of the game.

|

between their game and reality.
LARP = Live Action Role Playing, for those who've never heard of it.
It's a role-playing game, except people dress and act the part.
It's been years since I've done any RPing, but I definitely prefer the sit-down variety, and let my imagination draw the pictures.
And here's my $0.02 related to the primary theme of this thread:
As for the psycho-sexual aspect of vampirism, I say, whatever floats your boat, as long as it's between consenting adults, and does no permanent harm to either. I can accept that a little vampire role-playing can set the sexual stage, just as any other fantasy play.
I regard the claim "I'm a vampire" in the same sense as the claim "I'm a dominatrix" or "I'm a submissive".

How? How do they drain this energy? Can you quantify this energy? Is it measurable? What exactly is it? Please be specific in its description.
What methodology do these vampires have for draining this energy? Do they have extra organs designed for it? Would these differences show up in a medical exam? Are they aware of their own vampirism?

38. That depends on the type you are wishing to know about. |
|
Sangs get it through blood, just like eating a taco! They use razer blades, scaples, ect. Many have a type of kit with all the things they may need(plus having a phone near by in case of a major slip), plus have taking classes on first aid (so they can sew minor deep cuts if they slip). Some however a small number do have teeth that are sharp enough to do the job, They take about 2 table spoons to a cup. As for a medical way to tell if a person is a sang has yet to be found save for the pain they can have from not feeding. It is sort of like a person comeing off drugs for many others its like having the flu.
Psi's on the other hand can be found by there feeding habbits. You can see how they feed with aura photogaphy. Take a picture of their aure shows runner coming from them that attach to another aure and takes the energy away from the donor aure. As for the amount they take has no measurable way of telling.

Differentiate between individuals that are simply caught up in vampire hoopla and real vampires?
As to the PSI you of course can provide photos of this effect and provide criteria to test as well.
You of course can define this PSI energy and how it is tramsitted.
