Computer help? Sound probs.. (Windows XP)
I recently got part of my laptop repaired and with the new hardware, alot of things had to reinstall, but now the driver (?) for my volume control is gone so I am without sound.

If I go to the "volume control" under the start menu, I get the message "There are no active mixer devices available. To install mixer devices, go to control panel, click printers and other hardware, and click add hardware". When I follow those instructions, I get prompted to type the path where one of the files would be. And that's where I get stuck.

I don't have any of my installation disks with me either, but I'm wondering if I can fix this problem without them.
