When my daughter was in high school, I gave her a party the weekend before her birthday. On the actual day of her birth, she called from school and asked me, "Do you know what day this is?" Then she hung up the phone. I called the school and a student aide answered. I persuaded the aide to take a Happy Birthday note to my daughter in class. My daughter loved it.

My brother did eventually call, but that was the only one. I did get to spend Sunday night with my two angels and that helped tremendously.
