Poll question: Will the Vikings make it to the playoffs this year?
We all know the MN Vikings are in a slump right now, but, for the sake of it, do you think they will make it to the playoffs this year?

2. I did, also!
I live in St. Paul, and have been behind them forever. At this point though, I'm thinking that even if they make it to play-offs, it'll be a fluke and they really wouldn't deserve to be there.

I picked a bad day to stop sniffing glue!

3. You can't be a Vikings fan
unless you're an eternal optimist. Or you're hopelessly masochistic.

(Or some combination thereof.)

Vikes will make the playoffs!

5. Then I guess I'm masochistic.
Or stupid.
Yep. I'm probably stupid.

10. Hmm
Yeah, I think I forgot the stupid part.

Count me in. Optimistic, masochistic, and stupid. That would describe my love for the Vikings pretty well.

4. Yes
There are ahead of the division and still could pick up a wildcard spot if they don't win the division. I vote yes.

6. The slide started when Culpepper came back
I'm not a Gus fan, and I like Culpepper, but... Does anyone think a change at the helm would help? flame away...

7. No

I would take his 65% completions and 16-6 touchdown ratio anyday virtually almost anyone in the league. Culpepper is one of the best QBs in the NFL and he has the stats to prove it. Look at the San Diego game, he completed over 70% of his passes, and had 4 touchdowns. Culpepper surely is not the problem, it's their 29th ranked defense.

11. Completely true.
And in particular, their ATROCIOUS run defense. We've given up 200 or more yards on the ground three weeks in a row!

It's like the Giants saw something on film, and since then everyonw knows how to exploit it, and our coaches can't figure out how to stop it.

Any knowledgable fan who watched the San Diego game should be able to clearly see that of all the Vikings on the field, Culpepper has the least blame for that loss!

8. I think one of two things will happen:
1) The Vikes completely fold and disintegrate, and finish 7-9 or lose all the rest of their games.

2) The Vikes make a COMPLETE turnaround, start taking care of business starting next week against Detroit, and finish 11-5 or maybe even 12-4.

There's going to be NO middle ground here. The team is at a crossroads. The decisions they make will not only affect the rest of their season, but probably the next two to three years. I really think this is the most crucial point in the Vikings franchise in this decade. Probably even in team history.
