Couldn't really do too much over the summer to add to my collection because it was too hot to work in the garage, so I've been doing a little bit this past week.

Carved and painted a new tombstone. I need to give it a black wash to antique it.

And I spray painted some more PVC pipe to make a new section of fence. I'd cut the wood for it last year but ran out of time trying to finish.

I made an "Emergency Vampire Kit" the other day-- bought a shadownbox with glass front from the craft store, spray painted it black, and I'm going to put garlic, a crufix, and a stake inside.

reprehensor made me some vinyl letters for the front that say "Open only in case of emergency", and I have a little hammer chained to the side of it. Looks cool!

I really wanted to get a cheap garden arch and make a cemetery gate out of it, but it probably won't happen. We'll see.

And Sam's Town is actually my favorite. I don't go to casinos much anymore except maybe to grab a bite to eat or go to a movie, but when I do one of those two things, ST's is where I go. On those rare occasions when I do make a conscious decision to get shitfaced drunk, gamble, and generally make an ass out of myself, well, I still seem to find myself at Sam's Town. Reasonable prices for a reasonable quality, and friendly staff to boot.

Boulder Highway, though, has in the last few years become the new haven for weekly apartments, and thus drugs and hookers. And while that just added to the ambience a few years ago, these days I'm looking at things from a homeowner's and parent's perspective. The hookers and drugs need to be in legal brothels and bodegas downtown.
