Absolutely baffled by a commercial I just saw on t.v. |
|
Some lady puts on one of those Crest teeth-whitening strips and then goes to sleep and has a dream that she is doing the Riverdance with like 25 William Shattner clones, then she wakes up happy. I'm not even sure how to start dealing with this. But I do know that if a product produces such abhorrent nightmares I'm not going to use it.
But then again, it was on C.M.T. (Before you ask I'm watching C.M.T. because there is a special on Steve Earle's John Walker's Blues.)

Their ideas have been recycled so often they are trying Zen, abstractions and discontinuities to hype the jaded masses.
Watch the Hummer ads. Weirdly ill.

6. Maybe they told the ad guys "We signed Shatner. Now think of something"? |
|
Or maybe they asked Shatner what he'd like to do? I don't know. I've seen the commercial and I can't think of why they'd do it.
