3. Why do you wear a "pair" of pants but you only wear "one" shirt? |
|
Why are your leg coverings considered a "pair" but your arm coverings considered one article? I don't understand.

17. condsider the torso to limb proportions |
|
unless you are J-Lo or have a whole lot of junk in your trunk, a pair of pants is mostly legs, whereas a shirt is mostly torso - chest and stomach, but then why do we say a pair of underpants?

The reference to underpants in pairs may be its derivative from "Pants". OR, it may have to do with it's attachment, not to the legs, but to the buttocks. Who knows.
Either way, it's odd to refer to a single article of clothing as a "pair".
I don't put on a sock when I put on both of them do I?
My head just exploded by the way. lol

5. why is I-97 in Maryland called an "interstate"? |
|
it goes about 25 miles from Route 50 outside Annapolis to the Baltimore Beltway. It doesn't even go outside Anne Arundel County, much less cross state lines!

part of a plan to deny Amerigo vespucci credit for whatever he did, which I am not exactly sure was, at this moment

The big question is why isn't it Vespuccia? We don't have the District of Cristobal, or a country in south american named Cristobalia, why pick Vespucci's first name, and Columbo's last name? hmm?

Could be worse though They could have called it Vespucci land.
this remides me of a joke.
how are Christofer Columbus and a Republican alike? when started off he didn't know where he was going. when he got there he didn't know where he was. and when he came back he didn't know where he had been. and it was all on the tax payers money.

19. you know what I'd really like to know? If the ATM is out of money, |
|
why can't my bank program it to just say "Sorry, out of money" when you walk up to it, instead of letting you stand there like a jackass and go through the whole getting-money-from-the-ATM routine until the very end, and then tell you "Sorry, out of money"??
