I am going to have to kill my husband
He painted the driveway.
He parked the car with no plates, registration, or inspection on the street.
I told him we would get tickets up the wazoo.
He laughed.
I just found three tickets totaling $360 on the windshield.

I am going to have to kill him. No doubt.

I always love when I get ignored and it ends up costing insane amounts of money.

10. In some weird way, this makes me think of our current situation...
with the Iraq war. We warned them, they didn't listen, and now our country is going BROKE...not to mention the thousands of wasted lives.

Sigh....

Oh well, at least in YOUR situation, only one person has to die.

Sorry to hear about the parking fees, though. That sucks.

Stupid husbands.... Ugh. :eyes:

22. You know, usually that's the role I play.
I think it's a whole ying/yang thing to have a responsible person with someone just a little less responsible.

That's about triple what I would expect
in the worst case scenario.

18. I would be hopping mad
Those fines are totally unreasonable.
It's one thing if they catch you driving a car
with no plates and no registration and you have no valid
license. But a parked car that belongs to the owner of the
house it is parked in front of should
only get a warning.

15. Thursday is street-sweeping day around my neighborhood
Edited on Tue Oct-18-05 01:41 PM by SoCalDem
and the "code enforcement" person goes up and down the street handing out tickets..even if the street sweeper never sweeps the street..

It's a revenue enhancement scheme for our city.. A friend who's a cop also says every time it rains around here, all the crusiers hit the parking lots looking for handicapped parking violations.. ( no one wants to get wet, so on rainy days they "risk it" and park in handicapped spots.l.

copies of those tickets. Have them professionally framed. Hang them on the wall by his side of the bed.

17. OMGoodness
My husband got a ticket for driving in the carpool lane, alone. Didn't pay it, didn't tell me (thought I would get mad), his license was suspended and we had to pay about $350 to fix it. Guess how much the ticket was, $75.

We're getting ready to sell so we're trying to purty the place up. Makes it look neater and well-kept.

29. I just paid
10 times that amount because my husband said we should buy our cigarettes from an internet site. Our state made us pay up on the taxes. I'll let him live though. How else can I make him suffer for as long as I can possibly torture him?

I read about that in the paper. It's disgusting. I hate the government. I really do. Both Parties exist to fleece the people.
