Women: what things about men do you hate? |
|
My peeves:
loutish behavior
leaving toilet seats up and not aiming straight
poor grooming
bossy know- it-all attitudes with women and kids

1. Is this really necessary? |
|
I mean really.
Yes there are things about men that annoy me. There are things about women that annoy me too. This just seems a little like unnecesary flamebait to me.

4. And if the sexes in the question were reversed, |
|
this would clearly be a sexist thread. Good point, VelmaD. Let's all move away from stereotypes, shall we?

10. so it's ok. to ask about what guys like about women, |
|
but not ask a parallel question for women? see thread: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=105&topic_id=416590&mesg_id=416590sounds like what's good for the goose is not o.k. for the gander? by the way, except maybe or "velma " are ther rest of you women or men?

is to a thread about what women look for in a man - not what guys like about women. And even if it WAS about what guys like about women that's completely different than asking what women DON'T like about men.

Everyone does annoying things. Focusing it on one sex or the other doesn't accomplish much except to spread ill will, I think.

lock this thread as it serves no purpose. I would be upset if someone started a thread titled: "Men: What do you hate about women?"
I really would like to change the tone around here and this doesn't help. The opposite sex is not the enemy. Let's try to understand one another rather than further divide ourselves.

Why don't we ask Galtieri what he thinks of Maggie Thatcher? I know it was twenty years ago, but you asked....
And in retrospect, whilst not "preemptive" it was certainly pointless. A mere death rattle of dead empire.

seems more a matter of exploiting the natural course that the men had put in place...

CP's peeves : - toilet seat - letting the towel fall on the ground and leaving it there until I pick it up - empty milk cartons on the computer desk - leaving the handheld shower head lying in the middle of the tub - not hanging the loofa (sp?) back up after the shower - using my towel - talking during the movie .

7. So, THIS is what has replaced the SEX threads? SEXIST Threads? |
|
How about we start a "Men: what do you hate about women?" thread. I'd warrant the first item will be: "How they go on and ON about that fucking toilet seat thing....."

15. I learned about the toilet seat thing long ago |
|
My dog taught me.
There is nothing like lying in bed trying to get to sleep, then suddenly hearing that "slurp slurp" noise from the bathroom, knowing that first thing the next morning those lips will be lapping at your face.

some things that some guys do annoy me, but not all guys do those same things. same can be said for women..
that being said.. being a competitive person, i have found that i have difficulty playing on co-ed sports teams (only when) the men on the team automatically assume they are better than you, so they should field the ball, etc instead of you. that has happened to me on two different softball teams and 2 different volleyball teams. these particular men would just run in front of me to get the ball when i call it, but they figure they're better so they go ahead and make the superstar play.. ok, i'm rambling.
anyway, i know this is more of an ego problem that these particular guys have and it's not that they are guys necessarily, so i don't blame men in general.
i just want to field my own damned ball, ok??? ;)

DU prohibits posting blatantly sexist thread topics and responses. Please review the rules at the following location: http://www.democraticunderground.com/forums/rules.htmlI would have locked this earlier but I was busy leaving the toilet seat up and scratching my unmentionables in a public place. Thanks Big McLargehuge DU Moderator
