This is odd, but I was hoping others might have some info for me. |
|
I am a writer. I've written 5 full length movies and 5 episodes of an animated series.
I have ideas for another 12 movies.
If anyone knows, how do I, being in Arizona, find a reputable agent or spark interest in companies?
I am a writer first and foremost, so the business aspect scares the hell out of me.

Sell something! Short stories, essays, etc. No really good agent will take you on without some kind of track record.
Also, invest in The Writer's Guide - comes out every year. Addresses, phone numbers, who you need to contact.
Good luck... it's a tough business...

2. Trade magazines typically list sales... |
|
...as in which agent just netted a x-figure deal with which publisher.
This should tell you who the players are in the genres you write.

3. A sidenote, but you may want to look for script coverage. |
|
A friend of mine (and fellow progressive) runs a website (www.coverageink.com) that provides excellent coverage for very reasonable prices.
Before you send anything out to agents, make sure you get some sort of coverage. It should definitely help you. Hope this helps you. And, of course, good luck, fellow writer. :hi:

4. I know a disreputable agent |
|
Very very disreputable. He would screw you over 6 ways before sundown and put his name on your work.
Best I got right now. Sorry.
