Why isn't R. Kelly in jail yet?
Edited on Sun Oct-23-05 05:27 AM by LostInAnomie
It has been years since the tape of him boning and peeing on a thirteen year old came out.

Shouldn't he be in jail for statutory by now?

1. Maybe because he hasn't been convicted of a crime? (nt)

2. Rich people don't actually go to jail unless they are convicted in court.
Poor people who can't make bail or who can't afford really great lawyers are the ones who stay in jail until their trial.

You know, regular people.

5. As I heard it, the victim refuses to cooperate.
And without her cooperation, there is not enough to take him to trial. So, he can continue on with singing and dancing. Ain't life great?
