Michael Moore: Greatest Director Ever |
|
No, not that guy.
I'm talking about the Michael "Mickey" Moore, child actor (in Cecil B. DeMille's 1927 epic, "The King of Kings") turned director (assistant director of DeMille's last movie, "The Ten Commandments") -- and responsible for the best sequence in any Spielberg film that wasn't directed by Spielberg: the truck chase in "Raiders of the Lost Ark".
Mickey Moore was the 2nd unit director for "Raiders", and had a completely free hand in the truck chase -- Spielberg viewed the dailies from overseas and made no changes.
:toast: to Mickey Moore!
...and that other Moore wasn't too bad either... ;)

2. My vote goes to Fritz Lang. |
|
I think "M" should be studied in high school European Literature courses.
