Any Cheney Protest Reports from Rochester ?
I was planning on attending the protest, but I got blindsided by a meeting that I did not know that I had (started right at the time I was going to leave).

I know there was a bit of chatter here from those planning to attend. Interested in hearing how it went.

Cheers
Drifter

I was a little scared to go, but I went.
I made 6 signs of various slogans and held a U.S. flag.

there must have been 200 people screaming at Cheney
"Hey Cheney We know you, You're a Liar, Thief and a Killer, too"
"Money for Jobs and Education, Not for War and Occupation"

I hope they heard us inside.

there were drums, TONS of signs, flags, sculptures, songs, chants, megaphones.
we paraded down 2 streets.

I went from 11-12:30ish.
Had to go back to work, so I'm not sure how it ended.

I was also interviewed for the D&C, but thinking back, I wish I could have phrased things a little differently. oh well.

3. Thanks for checking in Smirky ...
I was really dissappointed when my calendar popped up with a meeting 10 minutes before I about to leave for the protest. Unfortunately, it was with my boss so I couldn't wriggle out of it.

I was really looking forward to meeting you and others.

Any estimates on the numbers ? Interested in comparing them to what is reported.

And of course, the question at hand.

Did you get to see the Big Dick ?
Somehow I can't imagine he saw more than the inside of a limosine.

Cheers
Drifter

7. Excellent!
but don't count on a fair story in the D&C :eyes: They told me flat out at one point STOP WRITING US LETTERS, you're too controversial.

5. Report from Syracuse
on my local Clear Channel radio station.....there were at least 200 protesters outside the place Cheney had a breakfast meeting for $1000.00 a plate.....I listened to the news broadcast a second time because they said there were TWO supporters for Bush/Cheney.(I wanted to make sure that was correct)...they were interviewed and said they represented the majority of Americans...people were passing by and honking at the signs they were holding....what a crock!

8. I'd be interested to her how it went
We're a small minority up there but I know there is a lot of liberal feeling. Wish I could have been in town to participate.
