The Shield is a great show. It tries to cover a lot of ground and has some pretty entertaining concepts.

The Shield is definately NOT just another cop show.

On it's worst day, the Shield is 100.. no 150% (yeah thats the ticket!) better than the Soprano's.

There's never been a show about the Mob on television. At least, told from the mob's point of view.

Please, the Shield is NYPD Blue/Law & Order/Homicide/every other cop show on tv.

Okay, so the cop is kinda edgy...wooooooo...he's just imitating Tony Soprano anyway. Right down to the chubby bald-headed main character.

8. Ah but..

In NYPD/L&O/Homicide/every other cop show..

The cops are good and righteous and don't do crazy ass underhanded evil stuff (at least not with regularity).

On the Shield, The Strike Team is violating the law (and often the Constitution) very often.

I'll admit that it does bear certain similarities to NYPD; however NYPD was never that good or edgy.

Plus I feel the actors all do an exceptional job on the Shield and the plots, while all based in cop-drama stuff are pretty innovative.

7. Never seen "The Shield" or the "Sapranos"

but I think "The Sopranos" is excellent.

9. When does The Sheild come back to television? That episode with

the girl and the that couple that cut off her arm still haunts me. I do not think I have ever seen anything like that on televsion.
