1. Low quality consumer good
But that has been an American trend since the 70's at least.

2. Way, way worse
At least, the Soviets didn't start with a thriving economy, then loot it until it was gone. The Tzar didn't really leave them with much to start with, you know.

4. I don't think he is
A military build up, preemptive war, and civil liberties abuses isn't exactly what happened in communist Russia. There isn't going to be any central planning of the economy in the Bush Administration. Quite the opposite, really, in that the cowboys are in the palace, instead of the government corralling them.

He might share some fascist tendencies with some of the Soviet era rulers, but as much as I dislike Bush, he isn't Stalin evil yet.

5. totalitarian.
Every time a Puke says that liberals are disloyal -- thus implying that anyone who opposes the Republican party is disloyal to the country -- they espouse totalitarianism, as defined by Mussolini -- who ought to know, since he invented it.

7. The agency named "Homeland Security" scares me.
Sounds like something Stalin or Hitler would come up with. I'm also concerned that their broad power base could be abused by the BFEE to promote their insidious agenda.
