When I was a little girl,
my momma wanted me to be an ice skater. Turns out I didn't have the ankles for it, nor the temperament for it, either. However, that was after the Boston Globe once featured me and my cousin (She's the older one) in their Sunday magazine on the ice.

What ambitions did you or your parents have for you that never materialized?

2. Cool picture!
I can't say what one parent wanted me to be. Another - who knows if she ever had any ambitions for me. And my father? All he wanted his daughters to be was fundamentalist Christians, married to good Christian men, popping out good Christian grandchildren for him to ignore. All he got out of the bargain was one daughter marrying a good Christian man, and three grandchildren. He still has the good Christian son-in-law, but his daughters and grandchildren are all atheists.

3. My stepfather told me
(at age 12) that he expected me to be a high priced hooker.

Fooled him.

4. Except for wanting me be be Catholic and give her grandkids
my mom has always been pretty cool about not putting pressure on me. Maybe someday I will make one of her dreams come true and give her some grandbabies. Of course if I do I know I'll never hear the end of her warnings about their souls :eyes:.
