I got my Pap smear from a VT MD who knows Dean and Sanders. |
|
AND we got to chat a little bit (and agree) about politics.
It was the best doctor's appointment I ever had! I hope all of you other ladies have a good experience when you go in for your regular ob/gyn appointment, too. Next week is my mammagram.
If any of you are procrastinating, let this be a gentle reminder to make those appointments. The only reason I got around to it is that my insurance company called to remind me--I was overdue. :spank:

1. My paps are never that interesting |
|
I still giggle childishly though when I think of my first gyn: Dr. Cox.
I hope your mammogram goes smoothly next week.

2. YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY REMINDED YOU???? |
|
Ours won't even PAY for the 'routine' exams or tests. They'd rather pay for our chemo later (or try to weasel their way out of it)!!! JEEZ!!!
OK, and I do admit I thought it was pretty funny, that image of you with your knees towards the ceiling, saying, "So, what do you think of Dean's prospects of becoming president?"

5. Yeah, it's Premera Blue Cross and they really are the best here |
|
in WA. My doctor said that, too. We were lucky enough to have Premera through COBRA and converted when the regular coverage ran out. It's just awful that your insurance company won't cover preventive care! I'm sorry to hear that.
And, yes, I can't keep my mouth shut about what is happening in politics now--even with my legs spread apart, my knees in the air, and someone examining my private parts!

during my 10,000 mile boob & lube appointment, too. I figure they can see my tattoos and what I do and don't shave, they might as well know my political views too.
Oh, and I didn't realize you were a fellow Washingtonian. :hi:

Native Seattleite, living in Auburn. Always nice to find another Washingtonian - there's quite a few of us here.

9. My most memorable GYN exam |
|
Was the first one with a new doctor. He decided it would be relaxing to talk about vacations. He'd just been to the Grand Canyon. The nurse and I almost peed ourselves. I'm not sure he ever got what we were giggling about.
