How do I add a .gif to my sig line?

1. Try hosting it on a different webserver.

It's probably something in the url before the .gif suffix that's being recognized by DU as "illegal code".

they have to be stored in a web server somewhere.

try to fix it so the text of your sig line doesn't run into your photo.
