The night's song lyrics.
Red Skies by The Fixx.

Red skies at night, red skies at night
Wo oh, wo oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Red skies at night, red skies at night
Wo oh, wo oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Should have taken warning
It's just, people mourning, running, hiding, lost
You can't find, find a place to go
So it's red skies at night, red skies at night
Wo oh, wo oh oh oh oh
Should have taken warning
It's just, people mourning, running, hiding, lost
You can't find, find a place to go
So it's red skies at night, red skies at night
Wo oh, wo oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Red skies at night, red skies at night
Wo oh, wo oh oh
Someone's taking over
And it looks like they're aiming right at you
Someone says, "We'll be dead by morning"
Someone cries, leaving
Red eyes at night, red eyes at night
Oh, wo oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Red skies at night, red skies at night, red skies at night (4x)
Red {echo}
Skies {echo}
At {echo}
Night
Red skies at night, red skies at night
Wo oh, wo oh oh oh oh oh oh oh
Red skies at night, red skies at night
Wo oh, wo oh oh oh oh oh

1. In the Air by Phil Collins.
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment all my life, oh Lord
Can you feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord

Well if you told me you were drowning, I would not lend a hand
I've seen your face before my friend, but I don't know if you know who I am
And I was there and I saw what you did, I saw it with my own two eyes
So you can wipe off that grin, I know where you've been
It's all been a pack of lies

And I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it in the air tonight, oh Lord, oh Lord
And I've been waiting for this moment all my life, oh Lord, oh Lord

Well I remember, I remember, don't worry, how could I ever forget
It's the first time and the last time we ever met
But I know the reason why you keep your silence up, no you don't fool me
Because the hurt doesn't show, but the pain still grows
Some stranger to you and me

I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment for all my life, oh Lord
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
I've been waiting for this moment all my life, oh Lord, oh Lord
I can feel it coming in the air tonight, oh Lord
And I've been waiting for this moment all my life, oh Lord, oh Lord
I can feel it coming in the air, I can feel it coming in the air
I've been waiting for this moment all my life, my life

I can feel it coming in the air, I can feel it coming in the air
I've been waiting for this moment all my li-i-i-i-i-ife
I've been waiting for this moment all my life, my life

3. My dear Crazy!
I JUST heard this song on the radio today......

I LOVE it! Thank you for posting the lyrics.....it's almost impossible to get them right when there's so much ambient noise while
driving......

Phil Collins ROCKS!

2. War Pigs by Black Sabbath.
Generals gathered in their masses
Just like witches at black masses
Evil minds that plot destruction
Sorcerers of death's construction
In the fields the bodies burning
As the war machine keeps turning
Death and hatred to mankind
Poisoning their brainwashed minds, oh lord yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away
They only started the war
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor

Time will tell on their power minds
Making war just for fun
Treating people just like pawns in chess
Wait 'till their judgement day comes, yeah!

Now in darkness, world stops turning
As the war machine keeps burning
No more war pigs of the power
Hand of God has sturck the hour
Day of judgement, God is calling
On their knees, the war pigs crawling
Begging mercy for their sins
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings
All right now!

4. Two Tribes by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
Possibly the most important thing.
This side of the world........
Oh yeah, well I........
Let's go
*When two tribes go to war
A point is all you can score
When two tribes go to war
A point is all you can score
Cowboy No. 1
A born-again poor man's son
On the air America
I modelled shirts by Van Heusen-yeah
You know
*(Repeat)
Working on the black gas
Switch off your shield
Switch off and feel
I'm working on loving-yeah
Giving you back the good times
Ship it out-out
I'm working for the black gas
*(Repeat)
We got two tribes
We got the bomb
We got the bomb-yeah
Sock it to me biscuits-now
Are we living in a land
Where sex and horror are the new Gods?
Yeah
When two tribes go to war
A point is all you can score

5. Hyperactivate by Thomas Dolby
At the tender age of three
I was hooked to a machine
Just to keep my mouth from spouting junk
Must have took me for a fool
When they chucked me out of school
'Cause the teacher knew I had the funk
But tonight I'm on the edge -
Better shut me in the fridge
'Cause I'm burning up (I'm burning up)
With the vision in my brain
And the dirty rhythm in my blood

They are messing with my heart
And they're messing with my heart
And they're messing with my heart
Won't stop messing with me
Ripping me apart !

Hyperactive: when I'm small
Hyperactive: now I'm grown
Hyperactive: and the night is young
And in a minute I'll blow

Semaphore out on the floor
Messages from outer space
Deep heat for the feet
And the rhythm of your heartbeat
'Cause the music of the street
It isn't any rapattack
It isn't any rapattack

I can reach into your homes
Like an itch in your headphones
You can't turn it up
I'm the shape in your back room
I'm the breather on the phone
And I'm burning up
But there's one thing I must say
Before they lock me up again -
You'd be safer at the back
When I'm having an attack!

Hyperactive: when I'm small
Hyperactive: now I'm tall
Hyperactive: as the day is long
Hyperactive: in my bones
Hyperactive: in your phones
Hyperactive: and the night is young
Hyperactive : when I'm small
Hyperactive: now I'm grown
Hyperactivfe: 'til I'm dead and gone

Stand up : hyperactivate!
Get up: hyperactivate!
Wise up: hyperactivate!
London: hyperactivate!

6. Something Going On by Frida. (Yes she was a member ABBA.)
Edited on Wed Oct-26-05 01:35 AM by Crazy Guggenheim
I can see that it won't be long
You grow cold when you keep holding on
You know you've changed and your words they lie
That's something you can't deny
I know there's something going on
I know there's something going on
I know it won't be long
Won't be long before you're gone
There's something going on
There's something going on
I know a good thing must come to an end
But it's hard to take loosing a friend
I know what you think and what's in your mind
So darling don't pretend
I know there's something going on...

7. Just One Victory (todd rundgren)
We've been waiting so long,
We've been waiting for the sun to rise and shine
Shining still to give us the will
Can you hear me, the sound of my voice?
I am here to tell you i have made my choice
I've been listening to what's been going down
There's just too much talk and gossip going 'round
You may think that i'm a fool, but i know the answer
Words become a tool, anyone can use them
Take the golden rule, as the best example
Eyes that have seen will know what i mean

The time has come to take the bull by the horns
We've been so downhearted, we've been so forlorn
We get weak and we want to give in
But we still need each other if we want to win

Hold that line, baby hold that line
Get up boys and hit 'em one more time
We may be losing now but we can't stop trying
So hold that line, baby hold that line

If you don't know what to do about a world of trouble
You can pull it through if you need to and if
You believe it's true, it will surely happen
Shining still, to give us the will
Bright as the day, to show us the way
Somehow, someday,
We need just one victory and we're on our way
Prayin' for it all day and fightin' for it all night
Give us just one victory, it will be all right
We may feel about to fall but we go down fighting
You will hear the call if you only listen
Underneath it all we are here together shining still
Give us the will
Shining still

(this should be the democrats theme song!)

9. Don't Get Me Started
Don’t Get Me Started

We ran into trouble scamming for oil
Now the whole middle east is coming to a boil
It’s the Muslim’s and Kurds and the Bedouin herds
The Palestinians and Arabs and the Jews in the news
There’s so much to keep up with it jangles you’re head
And the whole situation’s running way in the red

Don’t get me started I’ll like as not bend your ear
Don’t get me started I just want to make one thing clear

I was born in America I’m proud of that fact
I wish the rest of the world would just et off our back
But these slick politicians Man you’ve got to admit
They seem crazy as bedbugs and they dont give one whit
About the man on the street with his back to the wall
Who can’t find a quarter to make a phone call
Meanwhile back in Washington the Champagne will flow
Tell that to the homeless man with nowhere to go

Don’t get me started I came into
this bar to unwind
Don’t et me started
I’ll like as not speak my mind

The rich corporations have turned a deaf ear
They don’t care who goes hungry they’ve made that much clear
You see the trouble with people Is that we wan’t to believe
But they can’t turn a profit without tricks up their sleeve
So it’s the roofer’s and trucker’s and working class suckers
The firemen and nurses the soldiers and teachers
Who shoulder the blows while it comes and it goes
When it’s a six trillion dollar debt you pay through the nose

Don’t get me started I’m a drag when I’ve had a few Drink’s
Don’t get me started I don’t care what anyone think’s
It makes me angry

East Timor’s genocide to the core
The Indonesian legion come and give em’ what for
When the coalition Army doesnt come to your aid
You might as well face it there’s no money to be made
I had a dream last night I was the secretary of defense
And I came to the conclusion war doesn’t make any sense
But nobody heard me when I tried to rescind it
There’s a whole lot of people who don’t wan’t to end it

Don’t get me started You never know when I might stop
Don’t get me started We both ought to let this thing drop
Don’t get me started Don’t get me started not now
Don’t get me started Cause it make me crazy

10. Iron Man by Black Sabbath.
Has he lost his mind?
Can he see or is he blind?
Can he walk at all,
Or if he moves will he fall?
Is he alive or dead?
Has he thoughts within his head?
We'll just pass him there
why should we even care?

He was turned to steel
in the great magnetic field
Where he travelled time
for the future of mankind

Nobody wants him
He just stares at the world
Planning his vengeance
that he will soon unfold

Now the time is here
for Iron Man to spread fear
Vengeance from the grave
Kills the people he once saved

Nobody wants him
They just turn their heads
Nobody helps him
Now he has his revenge

Heavy boots of lead
fills his victims full of dread
Running as fast as they can
Iron Man lives again!

11. Dedicated to Fitz. The Wizard by Sabbath.
Misty morning, clouds in the sky
Without warning, the wizard walks by
Casting his shadow, weaving his spell
Funny clothes, tinkling bell

Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic

Evil power disappears
Demons worry when the wizard is near
He turns tears into joy
Everyone's happy when the wizard walks by

Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic

Sun is shining, clouds have gone by
All the people give a happy sigh
He has passed by, giving his sign
Left all the people feeling so fine

Never talking
Just keeps walking
Spreading his magic

12. what is it good for?

Oh no-there's got to be a better way
Say it again
There's got to be a better way-yeah
What is it good for?
*War has caused unrest
Among the younger generation
Induction then destruction
Who wants to die?
War-huh
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Say it again
War-huh
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Yeah
War-I despise
'Cos it means destruction
Of innocent lives
War means tears
To thousands of mothers how
When their sons go off to fight
And lose their lives
I said
War-huh
It's an enemy of all mankind
No point of war
'Cos you're a man
*(Repeat)
Give it to me one time-now
Give it to me one time-now
War has shattered
Many young men's dreams
We've got no place for it today
They say we must fight to keep our freedom
But Lord, there's just got to be a better way
It ain't nothing but a heartbreaker
War
Friend only to the undertaker
War
War
War-Good God, now
Now
Give it to me one time now
Now now
What is it good for?

13. Street Fighting Man by The Stones.
Ev'rywhere I hear the sound of marching, charging feet, boy
'Cause summer's here and the time is right for fighting in the street, boy
But what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's just no place for a street fighting man
No

Hey! Think the time is right for a palace revolution
But where I live the game to play is compromise solution
Well, then what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's no place for a street fighting man
No

Hey! Said my name is called disturbance
I'll shout and scream, I'll kill the king, I'll rail at all his servants
Well, what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's no place for a street fighting man
No

You live here but more days in space

D G
But when you return it's the same old place

D G
The pounding of the drum the pride and disgrace

D G
You can bury your dead but don't leave a trace

D G
Hate your next door neighbor but don't forget to say grace and

D G A D B
tell me over and over and over and over again my friend

G A D
you don't believe were on the eve of destruction oh no no no no

G A D G A
