I want the Astros to lose just because Bush is in the front row :) |
|
I suppose it's not the most noble of reasons to want a team to win or lose the world series, but they keep showing GHWB and Barbara there in the front row and all I can think is "I want them to lose."
I have a feeling I'm not alone.

13. Not only that, Ozzie is a big Hugo Chavez supporter. |
|
I'm hoping Hugo invites them to the presidential palace if they win.
(BTW, I wonder if Barbara has been giving the White Sox "the glare"?)

bottom of the 8th. 6 more outs for the Astros to make a go at it.
wouldn't it be appropriate for the indictments to come tomorrow? Isn't fitz from Chicago? I love it.

Trust me - they are NOT at all popular in Houston! In fact, they almost NEVER appear in public here - honest!
Please don't be hatin' on the Astros.....this series is painful enough as it is....

27. Everytime they show Bush |
|
they associate the Astros with him and the GOP to me. I like Berkman, Bagwell, Biggio and all but I don't think I'll ever want either of the Texas teams to win a World Series thanks to their associations with the assholes.
Oh and I'm a Red Sox fan. Damn me for living in WI but basically being a Massacussetts liberal by heart. :)

...like to root for our teams---gonna make an exception here, nothing against the Astros. I'd like Chicago to close it out tonight, but not before a high foul ball comes right down on top of Baba's oversized gray head. Wow, Uribe just reeled in a great foul ball catch for the 2nd out in the 9th. I don't think the rally caps are gonna get it for Houston this time.

But let's hear it for the Astros(in spite of 41 and Glare Woman). They had a great year and Phil Garner should definitely get NL manager of the year.
This was one of the best series I ever saw. It easily could have gone seven or gone 4-0 Astros. The sweep doesn't reflect the reality of the game.

How many left stranded by Houston in last night's game? 15 I think. Tough losses. Hat's off to the Astros and congratulations Chicago!
