Is Labatt Blue beer any good? |
|
Just say a commercial on TV and was wondering, since I plan to heavily indulge this weekend after I get through with classes. :-)

2. Please expound on it... |

I usually mix drinks, so I am not wise on beer selections. Is it a beer? Can I buy it in MS?
Why do you like it? Alcohol content?
Thanks for info:-)

5. It's a dark beer from a microbrewery made in LUZIANNE |
|
:D a bit sweet but not too much so..goes GREAT with spicy food..not sure about alcohol content as NSMA is a lightweight! I imagine it's 3.2..aren't most beers?

24. Most beers sold in America are around 5.0% ABV. |
|
3.2% beer is what many states require for sale in supermarkets and convenience stores.

7. beer of choice when I was in school |
|
It was good and also cheap. Sold it in the pop machine in the basement. A few years after I graduated they changed the bottle and increased the price. But it's still good!

beer for wine-lovers. Mmm, Chimay. I can't believe that they can consider themselves in the same category as Bud, Busch, Lone Star, etc.

22. Try a Leffe Brun or Blonde if you get the chance.... |
|
Similar stuff.
I managed to find a source of Chimay in China, but it was MUCHO expensive.....seriously, it was about 75c for a litre of strong, reasonable Chinese beer (like Tsingtao) or $3.50 for about 330ml of Chimay.
Only for special occasions!

Blackened Voodoo rules. Labatt Blue is fine if you like the flavor of corn but no hops. Any beer is a good beer in the right circumstances.

18. Well I'm NOT Canadian.................. |

grew up close to the border though and I can categorically state that you sir, are wrong. Canadian beer has it over American beer like a blanket. Most Americans think "Bud" is the nuts, it's like dishwater compared to most Canadian Beers. I'm a Blue Lite fan myself, but I've had just about every Canadian beer made. US beer sucks. Just a matter of opinion though I guess.

Canuck beer is at least drinkable compared to mass-market American brands.
German beer, however, is the Uberbier!

is now made by license in Canada, by Molson.
Moosehead is still around. It's pretty good, but the recipe has definitely been "lightened" in recent years.

It's my beer of choice usually; when I'm not in the mood to spend a lot extra on a "premium" or "specialty" beer. It certainly beats any American mass produced brand. But when I do cross the border, I like to try to find some Molson Stock Ale; close to 7% alcohol content and goes down so smooth!
