NY Times story suggest that Walt Starr will be my Punk for a month |
|
The bet, entered into days ago, goes like this:
If a) no indictments come down OR b) the only indictments are for Libby on perjury and/or obstruction and lesser charges then Walt Starr takes the following signature line for 30 day: "I was Punk'd by alcibiades_mystery."
If anything more comes down (i.e., Rove, others, heavier charges for Libby, etc.) then I take the following signature line for 30 day: "I was Punk'd by Walt Starr."
According to the NY Times piece, only Libby will be indicted, and only for making false statements to the grand jury.
I hope Walt Starr is ready.

4. If they are continuing the investigate Rove he could be in even deeper |
|
shit than Libby. And take some big ones with him. Doesn't seem to be conclusive should that be the case. And I hope you lose.

8. It should be the final round of indictments, to be fair and encompass the |

entire scope of the investigation. I say it should be a draw until the investigation is completed....!!!

However, if only Libby is indicted and only for false statements, I will have been the only person that called the score correctly, I think on this entire board.
Of course, my real name is Patrick Fitzgerald, but that's another story...;-)

15. Walt's been a gentleman, you've been obnoxious |
|
If you're wrong, you need to publicly debase yourself and endlessly apologize. Since you thrive on the extremely literal, you need to accept it if your narrow assumptions aren't met. Don't quibble if there's an additional charge or something. It would be truly distasteful after your repeated crowings to not rub your own nose in it.
Maybe you're right, but if you're not, you need to not just let him romp over your mistake, you need to admit your folly in true sincerity.
This reeks of high school spirit week and conservative ridicule; presumably you'll do the right thing.
Enough already.

...and I won't be the one to salt your land.
There's nothing like a lecture about humor from the humorless.
Thanks for the advice. Let's leave it at that; it's no fun talking to people who can't listen.
Silly, silly, silly.
Funny how the most combative are the most thinskinned.
See ya on the flip side, and don't forget the meds. This won't compensate for all the other slights you've endured, but life among the inferiors is quite a burden, non?

25. News is all over the map again tonight. |
|
My feeling is that both Rove and Libby will be indicted, and others for conspiracy, perjury, lying to whomever, and obstruction. That's minimum. I think a couple of staffers will be named, maybe Fleischer and Matalin.
The LA Times tonight wrote that Fitzgerald has the WH baffled. Nobody over there knows what's going to happen. This is the WH, where all the indictees are (or were). They undoubtedly know that Rove, Libby, and Cheney are in big poo-poo, but they do not yet know what Fitz is going to do.
The press is still all over the map. One source says one thing; another says something else. Who does one believe? None of them.
All the information is still coming from the perps' lawyers. Fitz has those guys twisting in the wind. None of them has seen the whole picture because Fitz has not revealed it to anybody but his staff and the grand jury. They aren't talking to anybody.
Cheers! And Merry Fitzmas to you.
