Who is having or going to a Halloween party this year?
If you are throwing the party what kind of events have you got planned (expect to have them stolen if they are good ideas)? Any spooky movies you are planning on showing? Any special food you are serving?

If you are going to a party, what kind of costume have you got? Bringing anything to the party?

Reprehensor and I had our first party last year, and had a blast. This year, we're having our "Second Annual All-Liberal Ghoul-a-palooza."

Not really any events-- I keep running out of time before I can plan a costume contest (have to make some prizes--grrrrrr!)

We show a combo tape of about 3 horror movies (Living Dead, House on Haunted Hill, and I forget the third). We turn down the sound and I have a theme mix CD I made "Toccata in Terror"-- everything from Reverend Horton Heat to Bowie to cool old 50s movie trailers.

Of course we have the whole front yard full of tombstones and a black "iron" graveyard fence made out of PVC. I got 2 extra fence panels and 1 more tombstone made this year.

I also put red food coloring in our miniature fountain by the front door, and inserted a plastic skull for it to squirt out of.

Our 7 foot tall vampire, Barlow, stands guard out front. Made him out of a couple 2 x 4s, a wig form, a vampire mask, and some clothes from the Sally Ann.

Some of our delicacies include:

Pumpkin Spice Cake w/Bleeding Chocolate Glaze and Espresso Shortbread Headstones
Creepy Cranberry Cheesecake
Eerie Eyeballs
Brains on the Half Skull
Roasted Bat Wings
Freshly Flayed Flesh Chips with Mold and Mildew Dip
Decayed Corpse Chips with Entrail Salsa
Pina Ghouladas

I'll post piccies later-- we've got some local DUers showing up! Not posting my costume idea-- I want it to be a surprise til the last minute!

3. I was at one tonight
It was thrown by the science department at my university. I was too lazy to make a new costume, so I just reused my Rinoa costume from Otakon.

5. I'm going to one tomorrow, too.
My friend and I and our spouses are going to a halloween party at our favorite nightclub. We've got our costumes all set, sitters for the kids, and we're excited! I haven't gone out for Halloween to do "adult" stuff, in years.
