I'm worried about my mom, she is having surgery Thursday.
I just got a call from a friend, she & her husband are probably going to be getting a divorce. I get a call from one or the other of them almost every day. They are ripping each other apart and destroying their daughter in the process. I am so stressed about work, more & more work, but no more time. I am already putting in about 20 unpaid hours a week. And I just read the story about the soldier who died in Iraq without ever meeting his newborn twins. Aaaaarrrrrgggggg
I am feeling helpless and hopeless.

What a mess. Is there any way to at least put a stop to the unpaid hours? It is unfair to you and also unfair to the person who might have otherwise been able to get a job since it's clear your operation needs to hire someone else.

Don't feel helpless or hopeless. Tell the divorcing couple what you just told us and that you're not going to take calls from either of them until they show some rudimentary concern for their daughter. Tell work you're not doing any more unpaid overtime. Go do something fun for yourself.
