I have this spyware program called virtuomundo (c:\windows\system32\vtuts.dll) and I can't get rid of it. I have tried Microsoft Anti-Spyware, McAfee, and Ad-Aware. Anyone have any ideas?

1. Try to manually delete it. However, I will get back to you on it. |

http://www.tomcoyote.org/hjt/#Top Quick Start Here's a thread from a help site that explains how to get rid of it http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/index.php?act=ST&f=37&t=70126If I were you and Crazy G doesnt come back quickly enough to help, I'd run a registry log thing from the quick start thread and post on one of the forums they use over there...

I realise that-I use their forum since they vet their advisors. I looks like a complexish kind of bullshit thing you have to go through to get it off.
Spyware is illegal in Washington state now. Huge ass mofoing fines. I wonder if they'll go after M$ spyjunk?

In case you fuck up, you can fix it. I've worked on more than a few computers whose owners threw something away that they shouldn't have, courtesy of HijackThis.

my uncle, a computer wizard, put it on my computer and there are some things it won't get rid of but I really like it.
He also told me that McAfee & Nortons in particular are not really good for your computer because of the amount of memory they take up because they run all the time are and therefore susceptible to weaknesses. With Spybot, you just run it every few days and update once a week and it doesn't use much memory because it's not on all the time.
