I have a serious case of the blahs
I'm okay, I just feel so... blah. It's the feeling I usually get in the middle of the winter when the weather is gross, and it's only early November. What can I do to get out of the rut? Change my hair color? Go on a trip? Eat all the leftover candy from yesterday? x(

1. Rearrange the furniture?
Anything creative will probably help. Hope you get rid of the blahs soon. :hi:

3. DOWN WITH GROSSNESS.
We had a week of gross weather here, and it turned me into a grouchy little kid.

Please don't ever change your hair. It's lovely. How about red wine and a few bits of chocolate to go with it? And then some sort of guilty pleasure, like re-reading a book you love just because you can? Also, I find that winking at yourself in the mirror helps you "get the joke".

;-) :D :toast: :hi:

7. Now, that's just inviting disaster!
Esp. the chocolate syrup! That's the path of no resistance to utter tragic disaster, and a great cure for "blahdom". I like it, & I believe I'll try it, and make a few sugar blackout phone calls!

:woohoo:

20. Sounds good. Personally, I like to plan my trips around interesting
mini golf courses. :D (Seriously true. On our honeymoon we stopped at nearly every mini golf course we found and have made this a habit ever since.)

17. sounds like you have the blues
Talkin' to myself and feelin' old
Sometimes I'd like to quit
Nothing ever seems to fit
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

What I've got they used to call the blues
Nothin' is really wrong
Feelin' like I don't belong
Walkin' around
Some kind of lonely clown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

Funny but it seems I always wind up here with you
Nice to know somebody loves me
Funny but it seems that it's the only thing to do
Run and find the one who loves me.

What I feel has come and gone before
No need to talk it out
We know what it's all about
Hangin' around
Nothing to do but frown
Rainy Days and Mondays always get me down.

23. I'm right there with ya.
I've had to listen to a lot of Jem to keep things in perspective.

Life, it's ever so strange, it's so full of change
Think that you've worked it out then BANG
Right out of the blue, something happens to you
To throw you off course and then you
Breakdown, yeah you breakdown
Well don't you breakdown
Listen to me because
It's just a ride, it's just a ride no need to run, no need to hide
It'll take you round and round sometimes you're up sometimes you're down
It's just a ride, it's just a ride don't be scared, don't hide your eyes
It may feel so real inside but don't forget it's just a ride

25. I've been feeling that way too
too much work, too much depressing news (Alito etc), my apparent inability to have any social life whatsoever (I run away when anyone shows any interest- well, not literally but you know what I mean). So I am drinking a Pyramid Apricot Ale-m surprisingly good, strange as it may sound.

33. I used to get
depressed every winter. Then I kept my living room well lit during the daytime and downloaded some screen savers that showed pictures of green grass and trees. Instead of looking out the window and seeing snow or brown grass, I would look at the screen savers and see green forests and pastures. These two things made a big difference.
