Hazmat Call At Post Office Ends Up Being Nestlé Nesquik Powder

GAINESVILLE, Fla. -- Gainesville Fire Rescue officials say the hazmat call they responded to at a post office ended up being Nestlé Nesquik Powder.

Fire officials received a call Tuesday morning reporting a suspicious white powder found in the mail sorting room. The caller said three USPS workers had been exposed.

The first floor was evacuated and a sample of the powder was tested.

Lieutenant Todd Ellis says it turned out to be Nestlé Nesquik Powder, either vanilla-flavored or a breakfast drink type. He says they even did a second test to be sure and found that it wasn't of biological harm.

There weren't any reports of injuries.
