1. Deep Fritz!
Good to see it ended in a draw.
Better to see that he beat the machine once.
Amazing.

2. Absolutely. I don't know how a human can win.
It's just incomprehensible to me to be able to think that many moves ahead.

I had a computer chess game you could set to think so many moves ahead. I could beat it, occasionally, on the first level, but never beyond that. And that toy was nowhere NEAR as powerful.

4. Game Two
It was quite a blunder.

In this position, Kasparov (Black) played 32 -- Rg7??. White correctly followed with 33 Rxe5!! dxe5 34 Qxf8, winning a critical pawn. Kasparov then committed a second blunder with 34 -- Nd4? and White opened up a e-file with 35 Bxd4 exd4 Kasparov resigned after 36 Re8 Rg8 37 Qe7+ Rg7 38 Qd8 Rg8 39 Qd7+

5. I watched it
On ESPN2.

I like to play chess from time to time, and found it interesting that they were televising the game.
