Keyshawn Johnson DEACTIVATED?!
www.espn.go.com front page headlines and on the halftime segments :wow:
Last year he won a Super Bowl, now he's been effectively CUt and RELEASED :wow:

I guess Warren Sapp will be next--from Buc..back to the Yucks in less than 12 months...

ever since John Gruden showed up, Keyshawn has never seen eye to eye with him--this after his constant bitching about Tony Dungy not having an open offense. He just never seemed satisifed--not with the Jets, not with Dungy, not with Gruden--seconds after winning the Super Bowl, he was bitching about Shannon Sharpe giving his ring to his brother Sterling. Oh, and during that MNF game with Indy, he constantly--and I watched the game btw--bitched about Marvin harrison being overrated--DESPITE HARRISON RUNNING AND CATCHING ALL OVER TAMPA BAY'S DEFENSE!!!

So Gruden an d the team management called Keyshawn up and said,"you need to go", and Keysawn said,"ok, I'll go". He certainly didn't do a damn thing Sunday, or at least not enough to beat Green Bay...

Mike Greenberg--yes, he the goofy metrosexual on ESPN Radio's Mike and Mike In the Morning-- is going to have a field day with this!!! And Golic, ooohh boy you know he's gonna rip Meshawn a new one too!

2. Sounds like the Chargers.
Cut whichever player had the most scores last season.

3. That's what happens when you tell the coach his style doesn't fit yours.
Key's been running his mouth, and I think both parties agree that he'd be happier elsewhere.

6. Not much on local news about it.
It is surprising. I would if attitudes have anything to do, Sapp, and a couple of others cause more harm that way. They have misused Keyshaun so often, Gruden and Dungy both. By that I mean not using him correctly.

8. Apparently
no one on the Bucs thinks of this as a really big deal, including teammates. Kind of telling, isn't it?

I sincerely hope he never plays again - I am sick and tired of his mouth and his attitude, and having to hear about it all the damn time. Oh, for more players like Barry Sanders.

9. Keyshawn was a jerk from an early age
I remember him as a ballboy on the USC football practice field when I was a student there, and sportswriter for the Daily Trojan, about 20 years ago. Keyshawn was about 10 and always a pest. He thrilled to toss the football at someone on the sideline when they were not looking, then laugh like hell if it hit them. He picked up my notepad once and tore some pages from it.

I do concede the players seemed to like Keyshawn and tried to help him. It obviously helped. I had Keyshawn pegged for a gang member or juvenile delinquent, much more than a top NFL pick and Super Bowl champ.
