DC Natives: Ever been "Under The Turtle"? |
|
Edited on Sun Nov-06-05 08:09 PM by Intransigent
This afternoon I saw several individuals Under the Turtle.
My wife grew up in DC. She is in her early forties. She has been under the Turtle. So have many of her oldest friends.
The drummer in my band is in his mid-forties. He grew up in Bethesda. He has been under the Turtle.
If you grew up in Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights, Spring Valley, Georgetown, Palisades, or some other part of upper Northwest DC, or if you live there now, you will likely know what I'm talking about here. If not, you probably won't have a clue.
I am told it is a great place to be, under the Turtle.
P.S. This has nothing to do with the University of Maryland. Nor does it have anything to do with the Voice of the Turtle, though perhaps it should.

I went to college in DC and lived there for almost 8 years and I have no clue what you're talking about...Something about the Woodley Park Zoo?
