Poll question: I just bought a new companion bird... should I return him? |
|
Got him last night, the most adoreable Quaker parrot ever.
But I woke up realizing that my job might be at risk. (Assuming I don't walk out, they are starting to take an aggressive stance... it's ADA-related, fortunately...)
That and how my legs keep going out on me, I may as well apply the money to my credit card debt, which I doubt I'll have even remotely paid off anyway.

And he's a cool bird. And while it was more or less an impulse purchase, he costs less to maintain than a ferret and was just so eminently adoreable.
I will keep my chin up.

3. Sometimes impulse buying |

is the best. I take it as an intuitive type thing. My personal opinion is that you should keep your bird. He's going to bring joy into your life.

5. No, but he's screeching for something. |
|
He's a funny little clown, unlike my Senegal named Zoe... still shy at times, he'll open up in time.
But I've had him only 18 hours. He hardly knows "the schedule" yet; and birds love a set schedule far more than Aspies do. :7

You need something positive in your life and will need that even more if your job situation heads south.

8. Even though I have a parrot already? |
|
But his health is in question right now... and is more a shy bird than one who loves to clown around and be funny.
I love 'em both, however. (the new one is still adjusting to his new home, but he ate sunflower seeds from my fingers, so there's hope!)

i wouldn't return him, quakers are super cheap to maintain & sounds like he's already bonding
i hope you were joking abt the ferret, never buy a ferret if you already own a bird, my friend's senegal or meyer's (forgetting which it was at the moment) was severely and expensively injured by someone's escaped ferret
