Egads! Buffy the Vampire Slayer collection - 40 DVD set!
Forty, count 'em, forty DVDs in the set. Retail price $199.95, but for you, $159.95. Okay, so it's from The Fox Store, but most of the money goes to Joss The Ratings Slayer.

I shouldn't complain. That's $5 a disk MSRP, $4 a disk at the usual discount. Which is more in line with what a DVD should cost. I'll have to rush right out and buy myself the set.

I liked the original movie a whole lot, but never saw more than about three of the series' episodes. And why couldn't Wheedon get Matthew Sweet to write more songs about BtVS?

Incidentally, The Fox Store is itself a lie. I looked around and they don't sell foxes anywhere on that site! :spank:

1. No wonder Sams Club was selling individual seasons for $40 each!
S. Club can be quite a slippery leech at times, so I'm glad you pointed this out.

Still, either way, it's all much better than the $80/season they once charged. :wow: (and that's nothing compared to the $120 per ST: TNG season Paramount wants... :eyes: )

3. Do they sell me anywhere on the site?

Now I'm conflicted. I want to buy the Buffy the Vampire Slayer series on DVD the same time I want to buy the new Wrestlemania DVD box set. Both cost around $159 and I can only get one one of them. Which to choose???

4. I have to disagree with your one point.
The Buffy TV series was closer to Joss Whedon's vision than the film ever was. Whoever did the rewrite on the film should have been tarred and feathered.

9. I may not have been clear about it
I didn't avoid watching the TV show because I thought it was of poor quality; I simply don't like to watch TV. But I have heard nothing other than that the TV show was one of the best in the history of TV, which doesn't surprise me if JW was behind it.

12. Gotcha.

It's definitely worth the viewing. Each season has at least one story arc that extends over every episode. The cheesy humor doesn't hurt either. :)

8. hmm
Now I'd only need a cheap online store which delivers to Europe. DVDboxoffice.com is a tad on the expensive side. :-(

11. I bought all seven seasons last Easter
(after a very nice refund from the tax man). I paid £20 for season 1 & £30 for the rest - and that was buying them at half price. So $160 is a top bargain!

13. Ahhhh, I think I'm drooling!
I knew there was a reason I was holding back on buying the separate seasons. Wooo!
