5. WHICH CGI Yoda?
Edited on Mon Nov-07-05 03:48 PM by asthmaticeog
The one in "Phantom Menace" was as horrible as the ones in "Clones" & "Sith" were kickass - what up with the muttonchops?

Plus, you forgot the way-cool animated Yoda in the "Clone Wars":

7. Hrm...tough one. Frank Oz liked both. (I think)
He really enjoyed manipulating puppet Yoda, but on the other hand: he didn't have to be on set with his hand up a puppet anymore for Episodes II and III, according to an interview I read.
And CGI Yoda can do all that cool jumping around and stuff. But puppet Yoda was fantastically done.
As I said. Tough choice. I must say, that of all the horrid choices that Lucas made for Episodes I, II, and III, CGI Yoda was, I think, a good choice.
Either.

10. No! Try not! Do or do not. There is no try.
Hmmm, found someone you have. heh, heh.

Luke "What's in there?"
Yoda "Only what you bring with you. Your weapons you will not need."
(Later)
Luke "I have a question master. Can we go over the 'weapons I will not need' thing again?! Why didn't you tell me that Darth fucking Vader was in that goddamn cave!? That bastard almost cut me in half! I had to chop his freaking head off! And for the icing on the cake, do you want to guess what was inside the helmet? It was my own goddamn head! But hey, at least my weapons I did not need! (grabbing Yoda) I SHIT MY GODDAMN TOUSERS YOU FUCKING LITTLE ASSHOLE!"

15. Puppet Yoda.
Puppet Yoda was physically on set. He was tangible. CGI Yoda was a cartoon.

And I loved the limited movement of puppet Yoda. I thought it made him seem all the more like a wise old sage, not Gumby on crack.
