Anyone else have a Microsoft mouse?

I have the wireless intellimouse explorer 2.0 (black leather) and I love love love it, I've had it for well over a year and a half, always worked perfectly, only replaced the batteries once, etc etc etc
But.
The side scrolling is slow as all hell
And apparently I can change that in my mouse util. under the scrolling tab.
Except there is NOTHING about horizontal scrolling in there.
I've looked all over the place, can't seem to find anything that addresses that.
:shrug:
any ideas?

That mouse looks kinda weird, does it have a back and a forward button?

9. I don't know....It's got buttons on the side of it that I'm not sure what
they're for. I'll check it out and let you know. I'm such a clueless computer user. :)
