Heard this on NPR a week or two ago...Bernie's CD "The Journey Within" is actually pretty impressive.

Check out the session musicians he's got:

...featuring background vocals from 2003 Grammy Winner Ruben Blades and salsa legend Gilberto Santa Rosa. Also joining Williams is an all-star ensemble of musicians including multiple Grammy-winning banjo player Bela Fleck, keyboardist David Sancious, percussionist Luis Conte, bassist Leland Sklar, guitarist Tim Pierce, and drummers Kenny Aronoff and Shawn Pelton, among others.

The samples they played sounded good - particularly the salsa tracks. I'm buying it.

...OK. So now there's ONE Yankee player I like.

He's very talented! :-)

Although...can I have *one* of his talents? Sheesh. I'd rather have music than baseball (er, would I?) I don't care - he can keep one or the other and give me what he doesn't want. :D

I'm not usually a "smooth jazz" fan, but the latin-flavored songs sounded pretty good.

4. I LOVE Bernie
They did a report on this on ESPN this summer, showing clips of the recording sessions, playing bits of the album, etc. It sounded great!
Glad to know if/when his shoulders/knees finally give out for good he's got ANOTHER talent to fall back on. :)
