Is it just me, or are salesmen getting more argumentative?
Okay, first up - this week, I had a guy come into the office trying to sell office supplies. I kindly informed him that we do not accept solicitations. So he asks, well, who's the person in charge here? I said, I'm the office manager, I make the decisions. He asks, well, if I talk to your administrative director, will he just point me back to you? I told him once more that I make all the decisions and that we do not accept solicitations. He says, "Well, your boss might like to know how we could save your company money." I told him that being combative is probably a bad move on his part and that he best leave the office immediately. He still wouldn't quit - asking me how it's being combative when he's trying to save me money. I told him I was going to call security if he didn't get out of my office immediately and never come back. He finally left, but what a fucking douchebag!

So just now, I get a call from someone asking for my boss. I can tell right away this is a sales call, so I ask who it is. They said they were some payroll company. As always, I politely informed them that we do not accept solicitations. She said, "Are you the one in charge of payroll? I don't think so!" And then she just hung up. WHAT A FUCKING !$@!#@!!! :grr: :nuke: :argh:
