What Do You Remember Most About Your Prom?
Me, I remember that me and my friend Brian agreed a week before that since we both didn't have dates, we would go together and just have fun.

Then, about two days before the prom the hottest girl in school asks HIM to take her.

He does, and I end up being the seventh wheel in a limo filled with three other couples.

I even got made fun of by Howard, the sidekick to John Stewart, back when his show was on MTV. He was performing at Carolines Comedy Club in Manhattan that night and goofed on me for not having a date.

If I didn't have the ability to laugh at myself I'm sure I would have committed suicide that night. :D

So what do you remember about your prom?

7. bad memories...
I remember that my date hated me, but that's not the big thing.

Ok, so my best friend's girlfriend hated me 2. She lied about me and got my best friend to not allow me to hang out with them after prom. Well, when I found out about this, I was crushed like I never have been before. Fortunately, my friend came to his sense, i reconciled with his girlfriend, and I had a fun time with them afterwards.

And what do I remember most about my senior prom(the above incident was my junior prom), I remember that I was dateless:(

8. The car wreck was fairly memorable.
1. Went to prom site - took pictures (thereby avoiding the rush)
2. Left prom site for dinner
3. Got clipped by drunk driver (while driving date's parents' new Buick) No injuries, but everyone was shook up.
4. Police ride back to date's house. Her parents were cool about things.
5. Called my parents to let them know I was alive.
6. Date and I hung out on her parents' back porch until midnight or so.
7. I went home.

11. I hated my friggin' prom
I was so pathetic in high school that I couldn't muster the courage to ask anyone to the prom, even though I later learned that several of my classmates liked me and would have gone if I had asked. I was about ready to give up on the prom when my friends decided I should ask this girl to the prom, a girl I didn't like at all, but I asked and I double-dated with my buddy and then had a miserable evening. I didn't even get drunk.

37. Likewise.
Thought I was going to, because "everybody did". Didn't happen. I dropped off my date and then, on the drive home, found a sixer of Olympia beer that someone dropped beside the road. Sat in my driveway and polished it off.

13. The "Las Vegas" theme the juniors chose for us...
And the soph. waitresses dressed as showgirls. No kidding!:eyes:

When my father moved from his house in Goldsboro down to Wilmington in August, I was cleaning out my closet in my old bedroom, and found that I still had the block candle-holder painted to look like a die (dice) from that night, twenty-six years ago. Good grief...!

B-)

19. Didn't go. My brother got married on my Sr. Prom night.
If I had, I would have had a free tux rental, though.

I did, however, attend a prom (different school) with a friend a couple of years later. Wore a basic black tux. Her parents took us out to dinner. A REALLY nice dinner.

Went to the prom. Had a good time. Ran over a raccoon in the middle of the road on the way back to her house. Got a GREAT good night kiss (our families were good friends - didn't want to do anything else that would become future folklore when our families got together).

Had a good time...

21. I wasn't gonna go until a week before
I was one of those guys that figured he wouldn't like it. But then I decided I wanted to go so I wouldn't feel regret. But that meant I would have no date...no limo...no nothing, except a kick-ass white tuxedo....then my buddy on LSD almost spilled red wine all over it.

Also FYI we call Proms "Grad" in Vancouver

29. Proms were the pits..
Our school did not allow people from a different class OR school to attend, so I hated my junior prom..(I was dating a guy who had graduated..couldn't bring him.. He was the jealous type, so I put in an appearance with a friend whose girlfriend went to the Catholic High school.. We got the dumb pictures, changed our clothes in the bathroom, and went our with our "real" dates for the evening.. The parents were pleased, we thought it was a waste of time..

Senior prom.. We went together again, except this time we were mad at each other.. He did not have a girlfriend at the time, and I was dating a different older guy, who sat in the car out front, waiting for me.. My pal, Phil actually wanted to stay a while, and since he was being such an ass, I just bailed..

We all met up at a party afterwards (a barn party..) and we ended up having a huge argument outside, which almost resulted in him getting his ass kicked ..

Proms are highly overrated..

40. Being with the wrong date
My g/f and I had broken up. I go to the prom with another girl. She shows up looking nicer than I'd ever seen with some other guy. We spent the evening eyeing each other and wishing we hadn't been so stupid as to break up in the first place. We made up for it later, though.

41. I had two proms....
My own prom in Germany, I took two HOT little German sisters to the dance. I HAD FUN! They got me drunk and we went skinny dipping in the fountain! I got with at least 1 of the twins that night! This was an DODDS School with only about 200 kids, I had the hottest dates there. Then at a party after the dance this jerk tried to hit on my date (we had taken her twin sister home) and she responded by throwing me on the couch and kissing me.

My 2nd prom with my girlfriend at the time was a blast too, I rented a Jaguar for her and we cruised all over town in it....then made out in the back seat. That was awesome! I wish I was still with that girl, I was so in love with her. She moved away to College and we wrote love letters for the next 5 years, haven't seen or heard from her in 2 years and I miss her.....

43. It was 1975....The theme was Pieces of April...and I
wore a dress of mint green that had 3 cascading layers of lace on the skirt...I had a hat to match, white with a mint green ribbon. My date and future husband wore a forest green tux and we went in his 1973 red Mustang (all souped up and rumbling). We stayed out all night with our friends and went on a picnic the next day and slept. Those were the days....
