Rage Against the Machine

Ok, one of the best bands ever is Rage Against the Machine. Their no-nonsense music combined with leftist politics made them one of the best band of the 90's. What do you think about them?

1. They did some really good stuff....

I like morello's guitar playing, even if it's mostly effects driven and when it's not it's little more than garden variety classic rock riffs.

The rythm section is/was great.

Zach was an adequate rapper, but nothing more.

Overall I like what they brought to the tableand into the public consciousness and they are sorely missed in a sea of meathead rock and self pitying whiners. I disagree with some (not all) of their politics but that's a minor point.

About Zach.....decent flow but .......he was also a good songwriter and I don't think he ever received enough credit for that.........

really be great,i think it`s their last concert and alot of extras..i`ll agree with the best political band of the 90`s.

These guys sound noting like them but you may want to check out http://www.painofsalvation.com. Definitely left leaning. Similar in sound to Queensryche.

Audioslave is a much better overall band because I can actaully understand what Chris Cornell is singing.

He was the front guy. And he had a terrible voice and I couldn't make out a damn thing he was saying. Which sucked, because I know his lyrics were good.

Of Rage performing Allen Ginsberg's poem "Hadda Be Playin On The Jukebox" in concert....it is one of the most intense and powerful performances I have ever heard in my life......I listen to it every so often.....amazing stuff........
