Any Minutemen Fans?
I have been listening to them all night. Talk about a political band. I wonder what they would be singing about in the present day era. For those of you who don't know, the singer died in a car crash in 1985 which brought this band to a premature halt.

1. Oh yeah!!!!
If you ever get a chance, if you haven't already, watch the movie We Jam Econo: The Story of the Minutemen. Tons of great concert footage and interviews.

4. Double Nickels is an all-time great.
I cried and cried when D Boon died.

SST was such an amazing label back then. Every band was seminal.

6. The Roar of the Masses Could be Farts.
I miss them.

They opened for r.e.m. in '85 and after that they were gone.

7. I saw one of their last shows...
...when they opened for REM. It was December '85, about two weeks before Boon's death. Mike Watt was dressed up as Fidel, fatigues, beard and all.

I liked 'em. Many quick, two-minute songs, and a faithful and beautiful cover of "Have You Ever Seen Rain?"
