Hellp New Orleans
Hey Guys,

Lets try to fix New Orleans Tonite! I've been working my butt off trying to raise money for the movie 'Hellp' (www.hellpmovie.com ). Lets get this thing fully funded tonite!

Info on the movie:
*Filmed entirely in New Orleans in October.
*Over 17 hours of unedited footage.
*Will publicize the local orgs providing the most help in NOLA.
*Will educate America on the REAL New Orleans.

What We need to finish the film:
500GB Hard Drive for the raw footage
http://www.pcmall.com/pcmall/shop/detail.asp?dpno=607538

20 MiniDV Tapes for duplication of original tapes
http://www.tapestockonline.com/son60minprem.html

And $4,600 for the rough cut editor, sound guy, and the fine-cut guy.

If a return on an investment is required, we can arrange selling partial rights to the movie.

To see an example of how this film will look please watch the trailer at http://www.warisonmedia.com/trailer/Hellp.mov

The low quality dialup version:
http://mi2tech.com/hellp/Untitled.wmv

And visit the website at www.hellpmovie.com

I cannot stress the importance of funding this film and getting it ready for audiences. Please help us. I will update this thread as donations (if any) come in.

Email me at admin@mi2tech.com for any information you may feel I left out.

LETS HELP NEW ORLEANS TONITE!

Thanks,
Darren

2. LOL
Thats awesome of you! Being down in New Orleans and seeing all the empty and destroyed houses, it makes you wonder where everybody went. It's awesome that you are doing what you're doing and I hope that my film will motivate others to be as involved as you are.

Thanks,
Darren

3. Darren you deftly handled that post like a pro. You will get the film
done. I watched your trailer last time you posted. While not as impressed as others were by it -- seemed a bit too vague, I wish you good luck.

4. Thanks?
The documentary will have several main focuses. The most important are:

Volunteerism (who are they, who are they volunteering with, and why)

The Victims (where they went and where do they go from here)

Police Abuse of authority (We've got many first hand reports of police brutality and abuse of authority, including a 16 year old volunteer being beaten and man-handled... the kid ended up being released without any charges)

The City (where is it headed and what are the largest issues facing it)

For an example of what kind of police brutality we are working to reveal to America, please listen to the audio clip of the 16 year old volunteer being arrested www.mi2tech.com/richardsarrest.mp3

5. This will make it easier
copy and paste this in your message.

It has come to my attention that you may do a story on Darren Martinez and Declan Ryan about their New Orleans Documentary. Both men have been working hard to raise awareness on the problems in New Orleans and in their three weeks in New Orleans they have seen what most Americans are unaware of. It is great that a news organization has chosen to be socially responsible and help the struggling people of New Orleans out.
