We just got done with one of the most successful fund-raisers to date and what became abundantly clear is MANY DUers are having a very difficult time financially. What did happen, though, was an outpouring of generosity by those more able. Please don't judge people on their stars.

Even if a DUer is not able to pay or simply choses not to, they certainly can make a contribution through the quality of their posts and their participation in the community.

A freeper would not only NOT kick in any money, he/she also would not make any contribution here via their posts.

I see this kind of post couple of times per month.

Maybe once a month or once a week, DU could let the trolls in. Then someone could take the best debate threads and write an article about it. Kind of like the DU HateMail bag, and make it a feature once a month.

I think it would be good entertainment, and educational.
