Which college football team has the record of largest margin of victory in an overtime game? If you can, tell me against who and what year.

2. Okay let me see if I can figure this out. |
|
The largest possible margin o fvictory would be 14 pts. That's scoring on the first possession, going for two and then returning an interception or fumble for a touchdown.
THe other possibilities are 13 points and 8 points. I can remember a few 8 point victories, I remember watching Cal beat UCLA by eight points in OT a few years ago (I think it was 2000 or 2001), so I will eliminate eight points.
I'll guess 14 points is the margin of victory. I will have to google to find the answer.

So that must mean they had the ball first, scored TD plus extra point, then on the opponent's ensuing possession, returned an INT (or fumble) for a TD, no XP necessary.
Not that that helps, but it's an interesting scenario...

6. Yes that is what happened |
|
This team scored on the first possession and interepted a ball and returned it for a touchdown on the second possession.

And it's happened twice in Div 1-A history.
1996: Arizona State (48) vs. USC (35) 1998: Central Mich. (36) vs. Eastern Mich (23)

I didn't know about the 1998 one though, but ASU v USC was the one I was looking for. I happened to be at that game.

16. That jackass overtime cost me more than $2000 |
|
I had USC +8 points, and was watching at the MGM Grand. The USC quarterback clearly threw the ball, and it should have been nothing more than a game ending incomplete pass. Then the moron referee rules it a fumble and allows the ASU defender to rumble down the field and steal my cash.
As a Las Vegas resident and speculator, I despise the college OT rule. Small underdogs are always in peril for a bad beat, and the "under" bets can be destroyed in a ridiculous avalanche of extended play even if you were "right" by 20 or 30 points in regulation.

I had season tickets for the ASU game that year and have no idea why you would pick USC over Arizona State. They shut out the defending national champs Nebraska earlier that year and Plummer was one of the best quarterbacks in country and I think he was the best leader. I was surprised the game even went into overtime.

Name this NFL quarterback, in his very first time stepping on out on a football field in a NFL football game. He drove the ball 98 yards for a touchdown. That is the longest drive for a touchdown in history by a QB's first NFL possession. Who is this QB?

David Carr drove the ball 64 yards in his very first NFL possession though.

At Philadelphia with 10 something left in the game he replaces Kent Graham and an injured Stoney Casey, he drives the Cardinals 98 yards down the field for a score in his very first NFL appearence.
Edit: How did you know?
