YEs, haven't been to my favourite bar in a year and a half! |
|
But I walked into the little hidden wiskey house and the bartender took one look and without missing a beat said, "We're out of Jameson." Then as I left she said, "Good to see you again Jeremy." Impressive eh? Hell of a memory.
It's a little hidden bar that you actually have to walk through another bar and go out the backdoor to go to. It's only about 800 square feet and is a very old little building, probably some old bowery house, all brick and cedar. They sell 131 different kinds of wiskey. When I first started going there a few years back you'd go in and it'd only be you and some other scotch fan and the bartender. Now it's full of fucking wannabee early 20s sophisticates that found out about it so it's like a "new hip place." I looked around, the fucks weren't even drinking wiskey, they were drinking the latest fad of an import lager... what a waste.
The secret is so blown the waitress told me celebrities are booking it for private parties, including Harrison Ford... sigh.
