1. I just missed it.

I think it much have been just a few days after I discovered DU that I first ventured into the Lounge, and the stern reprimand was there at the top of the page.

I always miss the good stuff. It's some kind of talent.

2. Basically someone conjectured that the mods weren't around...

...and started posting sex threads, and then it exploded into more and more people doing it and then finally a bunch of threads got locked.

Personally I thought Admin did the right thing. Some of the posts were getting extreme and disturbing. I had come to expect some level of raunchiness and innuendo in the DU Lounge, it makes it funny, but some of the posts went way beyond that.

...the stuff that prompted the original decree against sex threads. The riot happened a while after that, maybe even like a year or more.

But I do remember the posting at the top of the Lounge "Okay, the fun's over" reprimand that stayed up their for some time.

when all innuendo and pretense was dropped like bad pudding into the garbage. When the restraints and ball gags slipped and the freaks ran amok in the lounge. Ah, the memories :evilgrin:
